Meet the Executive Director

Raised in an Onida, South Dakota farm family, Rebecca Bartels joined Invest In Our Land in 2025 as the Executive Director. Previously serving as the Vice President of Trust in Food at Farm Journal, Rebecca has spent her career working domestically and internationally as a strategic partner and market navigation advisor to leading food retail and CPG companies, multinational agribusinesses, foundations, government, and nonprofits.

She specializes in centering farmer voices and realities in conservation initiatives across the public and private sectors and looks forward to establishing conservation funding as a bridge issue critical to the future of U.S. farming.
